General Helper/Production Labourer

Montreal production plant — 2021 Des Futailles Street, Montreal, Quebec, H1N 3M7 (visitors: 7500 Tellier Street) We are currently looking for general helpers to join the team in our sterile food production environment, more specifically, our wine and spirits bottling plant. The candidate will have access to the position of operator once they have obtained regular employee status. Tasks:

Operate one of the machines on the wine and spirits bottling lines, for example: labeller, case packer, bottler, case erector, etc.
Perform adjustments when changing sizes.
Ensure standards for production speed and quality are met.
Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements:

Speak French.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Have a high school diploma.
Be capable of lifting cases of alcohol weighing 12-17 kg.
Has experience as an operator in the food sector—experience with bottling (a plus).
Is familiar with HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP and WHMIS standards.
Is certified in operating a forklift (a plus).
Is a driven, reliable and enthusiastic individual who wants to grow with the team.

Day (6:30 am to 2:30 pm) Evening (2:30 pm to 10:30 pm) Night (10:30 pm to 6:30 am)

Salary :

$19/hr, or $21/hr if you are performing operator’s tasks. (You may then apply for internal positions depending on your seniority level, and you will have access to a complete benefits package upon completion of your probationary period).

Bonus :

Evening – $1.25/hr Night – $1.75/hr
